TWO MONTHS OLD!!!!!

Evelynn looks on in wide-eyed wonder as we tell her that she is now 2 months old! Time keeps running away with us. We're still so excited that she's here~
She does such a great job of sleeping through the night, which makes Matthew and I very grateful and she's happy, healthy and growing like crazy :-) She chatters away in the morning and even though she can be a little fussy at night we are just amazed at how perfect she is. We were playing the "Ungame" for FHE the other night and one of the questions asked "What have you discovered lately that has improved your life". It was Matthew's turn to answer the question and he quickly responded "you and Evelynn". I teased him that it was because I give such great back scratches and he was quick to tell me that it's because we're a family now and life seems to have more of a purpose and movement forward. When we were single we seemed to be able to only think about finding our eternal companion and start a family and now that we've finally reached that goal we feel like we can move on and progress past our plateau. I tend to agree with him. Moving "further up and further in" like they say in the Chronicles of Narnia brings with it it's own challanges and blessings and it's definitely worth it.
Here we spent some time Sunday evening with Mom and Dad Blackburn where we enjoyed fabulous company and scrumptious pumpkin pie ~ Yum! Matt's favorite :-)
Evelynn was great all evening, even though her schedule got mixed up......and then she decided it was time to be VERY vocal during the family prayer just before we left.....silly girl! Again, time spent with family is always excellent and uplifting. Mom and Dad kept us laughing all night and ya' feel so comfortable and relaxed that it's hard to leave.

  1. You'll have to tell Matt that pumpkin pie is Elijah's favorite too. You all look wonderful. Two months, and sleeping so well at night, way to go.
